Brother Sun, Sister Moon: Saint Francis of Assisi’s Canticle of the Creatures
The Great Hall, Hexham Abbey, Beaumont Street, Hexham, NE46 3NB and Hexham Abbey, Hexham NE46 3NB
In 1224, Saint Francis of Assisi wrote a simple hymn of praise that beautifully encompasses all that he experienced in the Italian countryside.
Almost 800 years later, Katherine Paterson reimagines the hymn in poetic language that shares Francis’s honest and direct gaze at all aspects of life and resonates with the joy, light and shadow found there.
In 2021 we will dance this hymn .....

The Misa Criolla is a deeply moving twenty five minute long Danced Prayer choreographed by Nanni to stunning South American music.
This is an exciting opportunity to deepen our experience of this danced prayer.

As well as being a beautiful teacher, she is also an acclaimed solo dance artist, choreographer and performing artist. Her unique presentation and interpretation highlight the power and spirituality of Armenian dances. Shakeh turns her dances into intricate "narratives" .....

Come and join me to dance for Peace and Reconciliation, through a suite of dances created by me and choreographed by many different people.
We will begin the workshop on the 15th at 2.00 p.m. in Drinkstone Village Hall dancing until 6.00 p.m. Arrival is from 1.30 p.m.
We will be dancing between 10.00 a.m. – 5.30 p.m. on the 16th and 17th and between 10.00 a.m. – 3.30 p.m. on 18th.

Having had to postpone his visit in 2020 due to the Corona Virus, I am delighted that Vincent will be with us in 2023 for what will sadly be his final visit.
Just DO NOT miss dancing with this man! Vincent is a wonderful teacher, beautiful dancer and a gentle soul who will bring a delightful programme of Israeli dances for us, sharing his wealth of knowledge about Israeli dances with an open .....
