Shakeh and Judy are delighted to be bringing their new suite of dances - based on the words of John O’Donohue to Hexham for the first time.

Our intent is to explore the concept of the space between us with familiar and unfamiliar dances looking at different ways of exploring the space within us as individuals as well as within communities. The repertoire will include familiar dances as well as specially devised /choreographed arrangements to playfully explore this concept.

Both Shakeh’s and Judy’s teaching goes far beyond the steps and both take you to a depth of understanding of the movement and all that informs the dance.

Shakeh simply embodies everything that she shares and takes us into the world of Armenian dance and culture weaving her personal experience and deep knowledge with an intent that takes us beyond what we might dream is possible.

Judy is known for her ability help dancers discover a deeper understanding of the movement within the dance - of finding a new relationship with their body. Her teaching style is to work with awareness and precision yet with a lightness of touch that comes through her sense of and use of humour.

Cost: £295
This includes light lunches Friday - Monday and teas, coffee and biscuits throughout.
Evening meals are eaten in local restaurants or pubs and are arranged and paid for individually. A group meal out can be arranged for the Sunday evening for those who wish to join us.
The cost does not include any workshop material that you choose to buy.
